Description
Silvel is a nanocrystalline silver coated anti microbial 3 layered barrier dressing. The wound contact layer is made from 100% cotton, the intermediate layer is made from viscose and the outer layer is a polyurethane net.
KEY FEATURES:
- The Ag+ content in Silvel is 438 mg/ cm ² with a sustained release rate of 294 ppm per 24 hours.
- Silvel provides an anti microbial barrier for about 5 days from bacteria such as MRSA/ VRE/ Pseudomonas and maintains a moist wound environment which is optimal for fast healing.
- The dressing is non adherent in nature and absorbs wound secretions.
- Silvel is gamma sterilized.
INDICATED APPLICATION:
- - 1st and 2nd degree burn wounds.
- - Donor sites used for skin grafting procedures.
- - Ulcers - pressure, leg, diabetic foot.
- - Clinically infected and surgical wounds.
- - Carbuncles (multiple boils) and abscess (puss build up).
