• The  Intrafix Safeset IV set comes with a back check valve preventing backflow of solutions and blood
• The  Intrafix Safeset IV set has a large filter area that retains particles >= 15µm
• Intrafix Safeset is used for all patients for which infusion therapy is prescribed. Intrafix Safeset can be used for adults, pediatric and neonate patients.

Direction for Use B Braun Intrafix Safeset IV Set:

• Unwrap the B Braun Intrafix Safest and check whether the green air vent cap is closed and the roller clamp is open
• Spike the semi-rigid container/ bag
• Close the roller clamp
• Turn the IV-system upside down. Squeeze the drip chamber impulsively and bring the fluid level up to the ring of the drip chamber
• Open roller clamp. Prime the line until the end. Afterward close the roller clamp again
• Squeeze the drip chamber impulsively once again. Remove cap and connect it to the patient connector

Precaution:

Always double-check the level of liquid in the drip chamber. If necessary refill the drip chamber by squeezing. The Roller clamp should be placed in a closed position.
