Description
- The Mytest Cardiac NT-proBNP Test is a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay for the semi-quantitative detection of N-terminal pro B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) protein in human serum, plasma or whole blood
- It is intended to be used as a screening test and as an aid in the diagnosis of congestive heart failure
- It is meant for in-vitro diagnostic use only

- NT-proBNP is a non-active prohormone that is released from the same molecule that produces BNP. Both BNP and NT-proBNP are released in response to changes in pressure inside the heart. These changes can be related to heart failure and other cardiac problems.
