The needle of  intracath no. 22 is designed with two cutting edges for smooth penetration and is a super sharp Japanese triple facetted bevelled needle. To ensure smooth flow, the kink-resistant FEP-Teflon INTRACATH 2 has an extremely smooth inner and outer surface. The transparent flashback chamber of this intracath 22g makes easy detection of blood.

For procedure, INtracath's needle is inserted into one of the patient's veins through the skin. After the IV cannulation procedure the needle is removed, only a tiny, thin, flexible tube remains inside your vein. 

During the procedure, Medical tapes are used to safely tape the Injection IV cannula into place. When the IV cannula is in place, it should not hurt and can be left in place for several days. During cannulation, complications such as hematoma, infiltration, embolism, and phlebitis can occur, and healthcare providers should take precautions to avoid them.
